- Welcome to the Scenic Photographer. I find photography to be a fluid craft that changes and evolves with time and experience. I believe a photographer never reaches a pinnacle, a point at which they have mastered the craft and discovers there is nothing else to learn. Photography, for me, has a way of stopping time. While practicing my craft I lose all sense of time and space, although acutely aware of the chosen time to begin, once I have camera in hand and concentrate on shadows, shapes, tones, and light, the constraints of time seem to stay suspended in motion...and that moment, both visually and emotionally, is what I strive to capture with my images.
